Lovely way to end the week in brilliant sunshine by the side of a lake of effluent  It's always great to visit a new process, well new to me anyway.
Today I had the pleasure of visiting a water company that had some concerns about some assets that operate in relatively harsh conditions on a 24/7 basis. A recent outage had proved to be a major headache for the operation so they wanted to investigate mitigating any future equipment degradation. Uptime Consultant returned to the tools for a morning taking Oil Samples, Thermal Images, Vibration and Acoustic Emission samples to ascertain a baseline of where their equipment was at. I have some great ideas for opportunities that were obvious to save them time, resource, manpower and stop that equipment failing again. Watch this space!

Something different is always refreshing, this show was about Waste, Recycling, Energy and Water Industries.  I was impressed with these eye catching transmission units from Turkish manufacturer YILMAZ some great cutaways and that dark pink colour made a change from grey, blue or orange.
Had some interesting conversations and made some great new connections in a pleasant two hour visit around halls 4 &5. |
