Presenting at Industrial Maintenance Solutions Summit - 10th September 2024
This is a brand new show at the Coventry Building Society Arena taking place in our home city on Tuesday the 10th September 2024.
Kindly invited by the show organisers Western Business Media to come up with something practical as this show is aimed at the 'doers' of the maintenance world.
Decided to share my thoughts on what I refer to as "Pragmatic Criticality"
Usually the first mention of 'criticality' sees people gazing over, hopefully I can shine a more positive light on what criticality and consultants can offer in a short 30 minute presentation.
Tickets are free on application as is parking and I believe a lunch is also available.
Lots of interesting stands including UE Systems, MaintMaster and many more, see you there for my spot at 14.00-14.30 😃
Get your tickets here: #IMSS https://imss.live

Reliable Plant & Machinery Lubrication 2023
Caribe Royale Resort, Orlando, Florida, USA
Reliable Plant & Machinery Lubrication Conference takes place at the Caribe Royal Resort, Orlando, Florida in the first week of August 2023 (July 31st - August 3rd).
This will be a special show for a couple or reasons, firstly it is Reliable Plant's 25th Anniversary of holding this event, the second is that this will be the first 'in person' overseas event for UPTIME Consultant Ltd.
Thankful to Jim Fitch from Noria inviting us over the 'pond' to meet some of our long time friends and collaborators in Reliability and Engineering from North America
It should be a fun event held over four days being immersed in the world of maintenance and reliability.
I've chosen this story of how a chaotic production plant turned itself around from underperforming on all metrics to one that achieved a world class standard of availability and asset care, it's a story I lived through so right from the front line.
See quote below for FREE pass for end users, if you don't qualify you can still get 10% off with my code "andy23".
"For those not registered to attend Reliable Plant & Machinery Lubrication 2023, there's still time, and those who are employed as direct contributors to their respective facilities (end users) are eligible for a FREE pass including all meetings, workshops, receptions and event meals (a $1995 value)"

First Conference of 2021
It's September and like most of 2020 Virtual
Lubrication & Reliability Virtual Summit 2021
At last a kind of return to normality, although this is going to be delivered virtually, that brings some benefits.
For a start the attendees and presenters are Worldwide over many time zones, so that should be interesting.
I have to thank friend and industry collaborator Sanya Mathura of Strategic Reliability Solutions for the support and invite.
I've tried to offer something different from the majority of Lubrication speakers as they are better at that, so I'm going to look at the thorny subject of how much should we invest in Maintenance, what is too much, and when do we know it's enough?
Hopefully I will throw some light on this and come up with something to make you think harder about it.

2020... UPTIME Consultant conferences on hold...
I had plans to take part in two international conferences this year as an invited speaker, unfortunately due to COVID-19 it looks like 2020 will not be a heavy conference season, see you in 2021

- Uptime Consultant – Founder Andy Gailey will provide the benefits of moving from a reactive to a proactive maintenance strategy. He’ll offer advice on what signals to monitor, environmental considerations and sensor location on mechanical assets for the collection of machinery data.
- Senseye – CEO and co-founder Dr. Simon Kampa will be discussing Senseye’s cloud-based product which has been designed to be used on the shop-floor by maintenance and operations who need to keep production lines running smoothly. How Senseye offers you a greater insight into your assets, capabilities and machine health using proprietary machine-learning algorithms to automatically forecast machine failure and remaining useful life.
- Siemens – Tom Hammond will outline the benefits of using their cloud-based IoT operating system, MindSphere. In particular how it offers a safe, secure environment to store and analyse your real time and aggregated condition monitoring data.
- PCB Piezotronics – European Business Development Manager for Industrial Products, Paolo Sermisoni, will present an overview of PCB’s sensor technology. In particular he will look at the practical considerations required when choosing the correct sensor - including sensor types, mounting considerations and environmental factors.
