Presenting in the Engineering Stream of FOOD+BEVERAGE ENGINEERING 2025
Looking forward to this new show for me at the Derby Arena (Velodrome) on Wednesday 11th June 2025.
Iain McLean invited me last year to present the keynote for 2025 and gave me complete freedom to select the subject.
I've chosen something that I see a lot struggle with.. taking your people with you on any transformation journey.
Honestly if you don't involve your people in your new plan then it's going to be doomed to failure.
Fortunately I've plenty of experience to share about where the pitfalls are and more importantly how to avoid them!
Look forward to meeting you there, don't be shy if you see the UPTIME Consultant logo come and chat with me or Jen.

A new show at the Coventry Building Society Arena taking place in our home city on Tuesday the 10th September 2024.
Kindly invited by Western Business Media to present something practical as this show is aimed at the pragmatic.
That's why I decided to share my thoughts on a Criticality Process that works for all.
Usually the first mention of 'criticality' sees people glazing over.
Here I shine a more positive light on what criticality and UPTIME Consultant can offer in a short 30 minute presentation.
UPDATE below
If you missed my presentation here's our YouTube video: Criticality Process Presentation 2024

Reliable Plant & Machinery Lubrication 2023
Caribe Royale Resort, Orlando, Florida, USA
Reliable Plant & Machinery Lubrication Conference took place at the Caribe Royal Resort, Orlando, Florida in the first week of August 2023 (July 31st - August 3rd).
It was a special show for a couple or reasons, firstly it's Reliable Plant's 25th Anniversary of holding this annual event.
Secondly is that this was our the first 'in person' overseas event for UPTIME Consultant Ltd.
Very thankful to Jim Fitch & Noria for inviting us over to meet some of our long time friends and collaborators in Reliability and Engineering from North America.
It was a lot of fun being immersed in the world of maintenance and reliability, you have to visit it at least once.
My presentation was about how a chaotic production plant turned itself around from underperforming on all metrics to one that achieved a world class standard of availability and asset care, it's a story I lived through so right from the front line.

At last a kind of return to normality, although this is going to be delivered virtually, that brings some benefits.
For a start the attendees and presenters are Worldwide over many time zones, so that should be interesting.
I have to thank friend and industry collaborator Sanya Mathura of Strategic Reliability Solutions for the support and invite.
I've tried to offer something different from the majority of Lubrication speakers as they are better at that, so I'm going to look at the thorny subject of how much should we invest in Maintenance, what is too much, and when do we know it's enough?
