2020... UPTIME Consultant conferences on hold...

I had plans to take part in two international conferences this year as an invited speaker, unfortunately due to COVID-19 it looks like 2020 will not be a heavy conference season, see you in 2021

June 2019

Full day seminar workshop at Iconsys headquarters in Telford took place on 25th June 2019

MEET THE EXPERTS BEHIND PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE

Picture
Following on from our recent successful webinar, iconsys will be hosting a predictive maintenance morning event at our Head Office in Telford on 25th June 2019.
For this event, we have assembled a group of leading predictive maintenance experts who will be presenting their expertise, services or products, conducting live demonstrations and answering your questions.  Please note, the number of guests for this event is limited to 15, so we suggest you act fast and book your place.
To register your interest for this event, please visit the official registration page at https://confirmsubscription.com/h/d/E94D2C0527ED3D45
The event will be hosted by Andy Bunce, our own IoT industry expert, who will be talking about how iconsys delivers turnkey predictive maintenance encompassing our partners’ technology. We will be joined by speakers from:

  • Uptime Consultant – Founder Andy Gailey will provide the benefits of moving from a reactive to a proactive maintenance strategy. He’ll offer advice on what signals to monitor, environmental considerations and sensor location on mechanical assets for the collection of machinery data.
  • Senseye – CEO and co-founder Dr. Simon Kampa will be discussing Senseye’s cloud-based product which has been designed to be used on the shop-floor by maintenance and operations who need to keep production lines running smoothly.  How Senseye offers you a greater insight into your assets, capabilities and machine health using proprietary machine-learning algorithms to automatically forecast machine failure and remaining useful life.
  • Siemens – Tom Hammond will outline the benefits of using their cloud-based IoT operating system, MindSphere. In particular how it offers a safe, secure environment to store and analyse your real time and aggregated condition monitoring data.
  • PCB Piezotronics – European Business Development Manager for Industrial Products, Paolo Sermisoni, will present an overview of PCB’s sensor technology. In particular he will look at the practical considerations required when choosing the correct sensor - including sensor types, mounting considerations and environmental factors.

April 2018

Thanks to all those that attended one of the Alpine Components Seminars in April.

Looking forward to three one day seminars arranged by Alpine Components
"We have a responsibility to help educate industry professionals on matters relating to asset reliability, best maintenance practices and energy reduction, which collectively can be critical to a company's long-term performance"
Jonathan Hill, MD, Alpine Components Ltd

Alpine Components are delighted to announce their eight series of seminars, these aim to give managers, engineers, maintainers and apprentices an opportunity to better understand the topics of Predictive Maintenance techniques and technology.

Schedule

08.45 Arrival

09.00 Sustainable Reliability
Andy Gailey of UPTIME Consultant Ltd will start the day with a look at Predictive Maintenance Strategy, how to plan, develop and sustain a reliability program utilising the technologies presented later in the day.
Drawing on over 30 years of experience in the Food, Aerospace, Automotive and Utility industries, including Condition Monitoring, RCM, RCA and what the future may look like with IIoT.

10.00 Interval

10.15 Vibration Analysis (VA)
Dean Whittle is a highly regarded industry leading instructor from the Reliability Training Institute, he will present an overview of VA explaining the fundamental concepts, measuring techniques, spectrum analysis and much more.

11.15 Interval

11.30 Ultrasound
Ultrasonic equipment trainer Micky Jackson from Alpine Components is the best person to give an idea of the benefits of using Ultrasound technology, this ranges from condition monitoring of rotating assets, electrical discharge in electrics, steam traps, valves, compressed air and other pressure systems.

12.30 Lunch is included

13.15 Thermography
Jon Willis has two decades experience of delivering Infrared Thermography training with FLIR Systems and the Infrared Training Center. He shares his expertise to explain how handheld and fixed mount IR imagers can diagnose anomalies in the built environment, electrical and mechanical issues. Reporting and analytical software is also covered in this great session.

14.15 Interval

14.30 Motion Amplification
Dean whittle returns to close the seminar by demonstrating the visualisation of Vibration in real time using a high speed camera, this takes information from each pixel, amplifies the movements to transpose it into a video that makes any movement blindingly obvious.
